Join us for a special New Year's Day Ceremony and Celebration!

Every year at Buddha Eye Temple we ring in the New Year with a simple but important ceremony, in which the Prajnaparamita Sutra books are energetically fanned. This is the first year Buddha Eye Temple will enact this ceremony with the entire collection of the Great Prajnaparamita Sutra! The merit of this ceremony will be dedicated to the community's health, safety, good fortune, and Pursuit of the Way.

Immediately following the ceremony, we will enjoy homemade Mochi, sweet adzuki beans, and Ozoni, a traditional vegan soup with mushrooms and vegetables. Food will be available to go for those who prefer, and we encourage you to bring your own containers if possible. For those who want to stay and socialize, we will have fires in the backyard, but please bundle up!
