Join us for a screening of Werner Herzog’s epic documentary “Into the Inferno” (1 hour, 44 minutes), with a discussion by Ejo McMullen.

Werner Herzog’s rapturous and hypnotic documentary explores active volcanoes in Indonesia, Iceland, North Korea, and Ethiopia. Weaving together themes of creation, destruction, spirituality, scientific obsession, and the smallness of humanity cast against enormity of the Earth and geologic time, this film is both journalistic endeavor and poetic reflection.

Popcorn will be provided! Please bring other snacks and beverages, as well as a pillow, blankets, or a sleeping bag to cozy up for the screening in the main hall.

This film is rated NA (not rated) but is appropriate for viewers 12 and up.
