The last Sunday of this month, Buddha Eye Temple will once again be honored by the presence of priests from around North America. Sixteen venerables will be here to facilitate the rite of passage known as Dharma Combat for our Head Monk, Jakuen de la Paz. The rich web of connection our temple has with the larger school of Soto Zen is oftentimes invisible. Why is it important? How can we care for it? What is the significance of belonging? Join Abbot Ejo McMullen this Sunday for a discussion of the mutual care of the Buddha Way with which we have been entrusted.
