Every year we honor the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha with a ceremony in which we bathe the baby Buddha with fresh water and flowers. Hanamatsuri, or "Flower Festival" is also a celebration of Sping. With this beautiful ceremony, we contemplate the emergence of Shakyamuni Buddha in this world!
