What is the Answer

April 26, 2024 Buddha Eye Temple

Sunday April 28th
Zazen: 9:00am
Dharma Talk: 10:00am
Led by Zen Teacher Myobun

“Not knowing is most intimate”: this famous koan phrase sums up for many of us the heart of Zen practice as the Way of Question. In Zen we cultivate the open heart, the open hand and mind of not knowing. This is intimacy. And… the open heart also wants answers. How is this path of ours also a Way of Answer? As we prepare for our head student Jiki-e’s hossenshiki or “dharma combat” (Sunday May 6th), let’s explore the mystery of questions and answers.
