MAY MY BODY BE A PRAYER STICK FOR THE WORLD: The Lojong Teachings
Sunday
August 31st
Zazen 9:00am
Assembly 10:00am
Led by: Koji Shinei Alison
The Lojong slogans are a group of fifty-nine, in depth and pithy slogans meant to inspire and encourage the practice of compassion and loving kindness. These slogan-like formulas, mirror absolute bodhicitta, our tender, broken heart, and relative bodhicitta, acts of discipline, compassion and attentiveness. The teachings are meant to be taken in and practiced on a personal basis, to see difficulties as raw material, our wounds simultaneous with our potential for healing.
