While it is true that a word closely corresponding to "prayer" is not present in the Japanese Buddhist traditions, the importance of baring our deep hope, fear, and suffering remains. Join Abbot Ejo McMullen for a discussion of how "practice" is not enough and how "prayer" is an integral part of waking up.
