Caring for Ancestors: Part 2
Sunday, October 11th
Zazen 9:00am
Assembly 10:00am
Led by Abbot Ejo McMullen
The Buddha's disciple Maudgalyayana used his spiritual powers attempting to save his mother. She had been reborn in the realm of the hungry ghosts. Although he was known among the Buddha's disciples as the foremost in spiritual power, his efforts were to no avail. It was the power of generosity that released her bonds. Why can generosity do what power can not? Join Abbot Ejo McMullen for this second in a series of teachings on the perfection of generosity and care for ancestors.
