The Lojong slogans are a group of fifty-nine, in depth and pithy slogans meant to inspire and encourage the practice of compassion and loving kindness. These slogan-like formulas, mirror absolute bodhicitta, our tender, broken heart, and relative bodhicitta, acts of discipline, compassion and attentiveness. The teachings are meant to be taken in and practiced on a personal basis, to see difficulties as raw material, our wounds simultaneous with our potential for healing.
This lecture style class will incorporate an introduction to the Lojong teachings, traditional guided meditation and lively conversation, to stimulate a deeper understanding of our daily aspirations and the bodhisattva vow.
